In 2016, the 30th Ave project partnered with Queens Memory on two events Queens Library Broadway branch, bringing together Astoria old-timers and newcomers to talk about their memories and perspectives on the neighborhood.
The first featured short histories of the neighborhood, and discussions on local memories. And the second had a “music” theme: participants brought instruments and shared their multiple memories and experiences of music in Astoria.
